Denver Restaurants and Dining

(Denver, Colorado - CO, USA)

Thanks to its large immigrant population, Denver is home to a wide array of restaurants, dining options and eateries, serving up a huge range of international cuisine. The city of Denver has also slowly developed its own unique cuisine, often dubbed 'Rocky Mountain Cuisine', which focuses on game meat not normally used elsewhere. Such dishes add to the culinary adventure in Denver restaurants, although some are not for the faint hearted; for example, 'Rocky Mountain Oysters' are in actual fact buffalo testicles!

LoDo and Larimer Square are popular dining areas housed in restored 19th century buildings, while Denver's Central Business District (CBD) boasts more upmarket restaurants. The Far East Center is home to inexpensive Asian restaurants, especially Thai and Vietnamese restaurants, while La Alma Lincoln Park / Auraria is the place to head for excellent Mexican food. Denver also boasts its fair share of convenient chain restaurants, steakhouses and pizza joints.
